Our School of Social, Psychological and Communication Sciences is a leading provider of undergraduate and postgraduate education, research and consultancy. Following significant and successful growth, the school in the largest in the faculty with circa 1,800 students, 90 FTE academic staff and an annual income of GBP 17m. The recent establishment of a new Centre for Applied Social Research and significant investment in new estate have created an outstanding teaching, learning and research environment.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to help shape the next stage of the development of the School. Candidates will demonstrate a strong track record in academic leadership, the delivery of a high quality student experience, strategic vision, and significant experience in a discipline area relevant to the School. Applicants who also meet our criteria for professorial appointment will be eligible to be considered for the title of professor.
